This is absolutely crazy that I have to write this so shortly after launching this site, but I can’t take any more orders right now. I just have too many. This is a wonderful problem to have. I’m not complaining one bit, no sirree. Thank you to everybody who’s come knocking. It makes me all warm and fuzzy on the insides.

In addition to all the orders, there’s craziness on the horizon. Possible gallery and book gigs. So I have to get to work. I’ll let you know when things will be up in the store again, but it’s looking like Spring 08.

Robert Mahar, of the best store ever, Mahar Drygoods, gave me a shout-out on his blog for having things in his new flickr group, Play Food. Check it out. I’m not the only crazy-pants out there.

Why do I do what I do, you ask? It’s all because I stumbled upon the work of this lady, Jessica Hutchison, aka Jess Hutch.

She’s a knitter. I tried to teach myself knitting once, but I could never get the hang of it. Crocheting came a lot easier to me. Anyhoo, I completely fell in love with her little toys, and decided I wanted to make toys too. When I grow up, I hope to be as half as good as she is.

This is what my kitchen counter looked like this morning. Note: Two almost empty bottles of liquor. Must do something about that.

I am currently working on a piece that will be exclusively available through art dorks. It’s tip top secret, but I can give you a hint. It smells like Queens does in July.

If I’m a good girl it will be finished by week’s end.

To me! Well, to my web site. This is it’s first day alive today. My bestest friend Brendan made it happen. And I only had to give him one kidney for all his hard work. Just one.

I’m going to go figure out all these new bells and whistles now. But soon there will be a working store. With items that cost less than $1,000. But only if you’re very, very nice and possibly give me just one teeny kidney. I need it. Bad.
