Not to be confused with Wild Turkey.
If we listen carefully, we might just get a glimpse of the haunting mating call of this majestic beast.
This was actually a commission for a “boy friendly” greeting card.

Hey, looky.

For those of you who couldn’t make it, here’s what my little wall looked like at the Tinlark Gallery in Los Angeles.

The pickles got their own special pedestal, of course.

Me in front of Saelee Oh’s super large, super pretty work. Her art was in the main room, and mine was off to the left.

Saelee painted lots of cute little bits all around the gallery. This was my favorite.

Actual giggling gallery-goers.

Beer, boys, and bobs.

Me and Wayne, my newest fan.

And that’s that.

Well folks, I’m back from California. Please note above, me and palm trees. Yes indeedy. That’s exactly what I went to Muscle Beach for. For the palm trees.
What’s that? You’d like to see photos of my little corner at a prestigious art gallery? Um, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Holy, holy, crap, crap. This awesome drawing is by Scott C. I have some linkage to him on my links page. But get this, peeps. He’s having a show in LA, when I’m going to be in LA. I’m NEVER in LA. But now look what happens when I am? Eeee!
I’m getting the horrible feeling that I’m going to love that west coast over there, and will never want to return. For one thing, it’s May 12th, and I’m wearing a sweater that’s 33% Mohair. That’s 33% more goat than I want on my person this time of year. I’m going to wear a bikini to Scott’s show just because I can. Take that, New York City.

It is me. Many nice people have written to say, “it is now springtime, what’s the dealio with the store?” Indeed. What is the dealio? I’ve been working this whole time on getting a bunch o’ toys to sell at Tinlark gallery in Hollywood. You can buy my stuff from them in May. They’ll be selling new never before seen stuff as well as old faves. I just completed my last stitch for them yesterday. Phew! Now I’m kind of sleepy (see above). So as far as for my own wee shop, I’m going to take a little me time, and stock the shop a tad bit later this spring. I think that’s a fine compromise, don’t you?
So you liked the below Krylon Kozy? Go take a peek at what that inspired in the gallery…

For all you vandals who won’t let a little cold weather stop your assaults on private property. . .
I’ve been working on a new monkey. Here’s a peek.

Since I don’t have any actual monkey toys in my possession, and I stink at writing down patterns for myself, I have to go by old photos of monkeys past. Look how well he balances without limbs.

This new Monkey 2.0 has several improvements over the old model. Here you can tell that his arms are more jointy. Yes, jointy. Thus enabling larger hugs than his predecessor. Also note the fine curvature of the legs. Buddha would be proud.

This model also comes with super-duper long tail. Just how long will Monkey 2.1’s tail be? I can’t even begin to speculate what advances in tail technology are to come! How exciting.
