Goodness. I haven’t posted on here in forever, have I? I have this little problem called twitter. But lets talk about that later.
For the birth of the new year, I made a cake!

You may notice that this cake doesn’t have a face. What the? Am I starting to become more serious in my art? I doubt that. It is partly inspired by Wayne Thiebaud, who paints the most lovely cakes ever. For example:

Wayne doesn’t need a goofy face to make pretty cakes. No sir. He’s my hero.

Crazy bot thinks you should take a peek at what’s new in the gallery.

Sometimes I just stay home on a Saturday night and draw monsters.
It’s been a while since I’ve been on here to say hello. I actually have one new and very handsome needlepoint specimen finished, but my favorite photographer who makes all my stuff look so nice has gone vamoose, at least until May, so the internet must wait.
Here’s something to hold you over.

Sometimes I make crap. This is an example of one of those times. However, crap creatively cropped in upon, can look kind of good. I first learned this many years ago when I tried internet dating.

What the heck is this alien being? To see his front side, check out the newness in the gallery page.

Look! It’s a book. Tangible presents graphic-inspired design, objects, and orchestrated spaces by exceptional young creatives that are producing striking visual and spatial work.
You want to see what happens when you open this book?

Doh! You can see more interior pages here. And then you can help the economy here.

James Jean, Me, Kenichi Hoshine
Just got back from the James Jean and Kenichi Hoshine opening at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Holy wowzas. The show is up till Feb 7, 2009, and if you’re in New York City, you MUST go. And if you don’t, James and I will go gansta on ya.

Just got back from the lovely new Lion Brand Yarn Studio in Manhattan. You can’t believe how exciting this is. We don’t have the big craft chains here in New York City, so it’s actually kind of tricky to get supplies. There is a Michaels way out in Queens, but you have to take a train AND a bus to get out there, and let me tell you, you probably will be waiting a half hour for that stupid bus. In the cold. And the rain. And then when the bus finally pulls up, it will go splash, and spray puddle-water all over your face.
