Yarn Studio
Tuesday December 23, 2008
Just got back from the lovely new Lion Brand Yarn Studio in Manhattan. You can’t believe how exciting this is. We don’t have the big craft chains here in New York City, so it’s actually kind of tricky to get supplies. There is a Michaels way out in Queens, but you have to take a train AND a bus to get out there, and let me tell you, you probably will be waiting a half hour for that stupid bus. In the cold. And the rain. And then when the bus finally pulls up, it will go splash, and spray puddle-water all over your face.

DUNNY
Monday December 15, 2008

Ta-da! It’s finished. The world’s first crocheted custom 8″ Dunny. I’ve been meaning to make one of these forever. Now I need to get my fancy photographer to take a fancy photo so I can get him up in the gallery and on flickr.
Progress with process

Just finished this bit. . . .Oh, that’s where I left the Corn Chex.

And attached new bits to older bits.

Can you tell what it is yet? I’ll give you a hint: ʇoqoɹ pıʞ
Process

What the heck is that? Well, I can’t tell you yet, but it’s about 3 1/2 hours of work. How can something so tiny and incomplete-looking take so long to make? Excellent question. Above is the front.

And this is the side view. Could that be a little bum, and a wee pot-belly? Perhaps.
Shopping!
Monday December 8, 2008

So, a little e-birdie told me that you’re kind of grouchy that there’s nothing available in the ol’ store for the holidays. Alas, the internet is far and vast so there’s got to be some store out there selling crocheted food with happy faces, no?
Yes. Buy my stuff here. And you can buy some other people’s stuff there too. It will be fun.
